行うことになりました。
Regarding Japans flagship rocket H3, JAXA Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will conduct the final test this month for a new type of launch that keeps costs low by not using booster rockets.
H3ロケットはことし2月の5号機まで4機連続で打ち上げに成功していますが、国際競争力のある打ち上げ価格の実現などを目指して現在も開発が続けられています。
The H3 rocket has successfully launched four consecutive times up to the fifth unit in February this year, but development is still ongoing with the aim of achieving internationally competitive launch prices.
JAXAは今年度、2本の補助ロケットを使わないことで打ち上げ価格を低く抑えた新たな形態を6号機として打ち上げる計画で、打ち上げ前の最終的な試験を今月26日に鹿児島県の種子島宇宙センターで行うことになりました。
JAXA plans to launch the No. 6 rocket this fiscal year in a new configuration that keeps launch costs low by not using two auxiliary boosters. The final pre-launch test will be conducted on the 26th of this month at the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture.
この新たな形態は「30形態」と呼ばれ、「3」は液体燃料を使うメインエンジンが3基搭載されていること、「0」は補助ロケットを取り付けないことを意味しています。
This new configuration is called Type 30, where the 3 refers to the three main engines that use liquid fuel, and the 0 indicates that no booster rockets are attached.
JAXAによりますと、これまで日本では、補助ロケットを取り付けずに大型の液体燃料ロケットを打ち上げた実績はなく、初めての試みになるということです。
According to JAXA, Japan has never launched a large liquid-fueled rocket without attaching auxiliary rockets before, so this will be the first attempt.
今回の試験では、ロケットの機体を発射台に固定した状態で実際の打ち上げとほぼ同じ手順でカウントダウンを実施し、3基のメインエンジンに点火しておよそ25秒間燃焼させる計画です。
In this test, the rocket will be secured to the launch pad, and the countdown will be conducted using almost the same procedures as an actual launch. The plan is to ignite the three main engines and keep them burning for about 25 seconds.
「30形態」のために開発されたシステムの確認などが行われる予定で、JAXAの有田誠プロジェクトマネージャは「打ち上げに向けた最終関門と考えている。
It is planned to conduct checks of the system developed for the Type 30, and JAXA project manager Makoto Arita said, We consider this the final hurdle before the launch.
