Negative real wages for 13 consecutive months
厚生労働省が従業員5人以上の事業所3万余りを対象に行っている「毎月勤労統計調査」の速報値によりますと、物価の変動分を反映したことし4月の実質賃金は去年4月に比べて3.0％減少しました
According to preliminary figures of the Monthly Labour Statistics Survey conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare which targets 5 or more employees out of approximately 30,000 of business establishments, the prices this year in April reflected the price fluctuations and the real wages have decreased by 3.0% compared to previous April.
The total cash earnings per worker, including basic wages and overtime pay, increased by 1.0% from April last year to an average of 285,176 yen, partly due to the wage revisions following the results of the spring labour offensive. However, the rate of increase in prices exceeded this.
The effects of wage revisions are expected to gradually emerge, and we would like to keep an eye on future trends.
