Once upon a time, near Lake Tazawa in Akita, there was a sumo wrestler named Ujigawa.

Ujigawa is very strong, but he wants to become even stronger.

One night, when I was passing in front of Tenshoji Temple with my friend Matsukasayama, we heard the sound of a baby crying from somewhere.

Looking back, they saw a woman holding a baby saying, Could you hold my child while I tie my hair?

Matsukasayama received the baby, but the baby kept getting heavier and heavier, and eventually Matsukasayama couldn’t bear it anymore and threw the baby away.

After that, Matsukasayama passed away.

Ujigawa listened to the monks story and learned that, long ago, a girl who worked in a samurai household accidentally caused a baby to die, and that the girl herself died afterward as well.

She is the ghost of a young girl, and if you hold the baby until the end, you will gain a special power called Obous Power, but if you stop halfway, you will lose your life.

For Matsukasayama, Ujigawa waited for the woman in front of Tenjōji every night.

One month later, the woman appeared again and handed the baby over at the Uji River.

The baby got very heavy, but Ujigawa did his best until the end.

After receiving the baby, the woman disappeared.

Ujigawa was very happy to have obtained the Power of Obou, and on the way home, he threw many things far away.

However, the next day, everything he had thrown was back in its original place.

That night, while secretly observing, Ujigawa discovered that the monk was returning those items to their original place.

It seems that monk also has the Obous power.

Ujigawa reflected on himself, kept his promise to Matsukasayama, and became an excellent sumo wrestler.
