World’s ”livable cities” ranking
２年ぶりのランキングでは、ニュージーランドの都市オークランドが首位に躍り出ました
Auckland, a New Zealand city, jumped to the top of the rankings for the first time in two years
Vienna, the capital of Austria, which took the top spot in the 18th and 19th editions, was hit hard by a pandemic and fell to 12th place.
2nd place was Osaka, which was 4th place in the 19th edition, and 3rd place was Adelaide, Australia.
Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, and Tokyo lined up in 4th place.
From Australia, which continued to have strict border control, a total of 4 cities, including Perth in 6th place, Melbourne in 8th place and Brisbane in 10th place, entered the top 10.
While the Asia-Pacific region has made remarkable progress, Canada has been sluggish, and Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto, which were in the top 10 in the 19th edition, have all disappeared.
The world average score indicating livability was 7 points lower than before the pandemic.
The hit in Europe was particularly big, and Hamburg, Germany, fell 34 ranks to 47th place, recording the largest decline.
