Yoshiro Mori, chairman of the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, said that ”a board meeting with many women will take time” was taken up in the electronic version of the New York Times, a leading American newspaper.
The article was signed by the directors of the Tokyo bureau and others, and reported that the opposition was spreading on social media, saying that ”the organizers of the Tokyo Olympics faced new anger”.
Quoted from Twitter posts such as ”This is nothing but discrimination against women” and ”You should resign immediately”
”Some people were disillusioned not only with Mr. Mori’s remarks, but with no one disagreeing at the meeting.”
