Tokyo International Film Festival Begins; Red Carpet Event Also Held
24日、世界の映画を紹介する東京国際映画祭が始まりました
The Tokyo International Film Festival, which introduces films from around the world, began on the 24th.
At the venue in Chiyoda Ward, movie directors and actors walked the red carpet, signed autographs for fans, and took pictures with them.

今年は、いちばんすばらしい映画を選ぶコンペティション部門に、107の国と地域から1695の映画が集まりました
This year, 1,695 films from 107 countries and regions gathered in the competition section to select the best films.

”At the Window” directed by Rikiya Imaizumi, ”Egoist” directed by Daiji Matsunaga, and ”Yamajo” directed by Takeshi Fukunaga.
The best movie is chosen on the last day

The festival will run until November 2nd and will showcase a total of 169 films.
