Bomb attack targeting police in southwestern Pakistan kills 9 people, including 5 children

An explosion that appears to have targeted police in southwestern Pakistan killed nine people, including five children who were nearby.
According to local media, a motorcycle parked near a police vehicle exploded on the 1st in southwestern Baluchistan province.
Nine people were killed in the explosion, including five children and police officers, and 33 others were injured.
It is believed that this was a terrorist attack targeting the police, as a bomb was attached to the motorcycle.
Although no claim of responsibility has been made so far, there have been a number of terrorist incidents carried out by anti-government extremist organizations in Baluchistan province.
In response to this explosion, in which a child was killed, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Sharif issued a statement condemning the incident, calling it ``clear evidence of terrorists’ hostility towards education.’’
