東京の杉並区は、食堂やレストランで全部食べることができなくて残った食べ物を、客に持って帰ってもらうようにしています
Tokyo’s Suginami Ward is asking customers to take home any leftover meals they can’t eat at cafeterias or restaurants.
Started in October at 61 stores in Suginami Ward
This is to avoid throwing away leftover food and reduce the amount of garbage that is burned.
And we want to reduce the amount of gases that raise global temperatures.

Put the leftover food in the box provided at the store and take it home.
Suginami Ward handed over 30 boxes to one store
We’ll check how much boxes we used next year.
Next year, we hope to increase the number of stores that have boxes to around 100.
