74-year-old man arrested on suspicion of cutting off neighbor’s left ear
アパートの隣の部屋に住む女性の左耳を切り落としたとして、警視庁小岩署は9日、東京都江戸川区西小岩4、無職、竹林純一容疑者（74）を傷害容疑で逮捕したと発表した
On the 9th, the Koiwa Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department announced that Junichi Takebayashi (74), an unemployed man from 4 Nishi-Koiwa, Edogawa-ku, Tokyo, was arrested on suspicion of causing bodily harm for cutting off the left ear of a woman living in the apartment next door.
The woman also suffered a cut on her right ear, but the injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of slashing the ear of a woman in her 80s with a kitchen knife at around 10:50 p.m. on the 8th at an apartment complex in Nishikoiwa, Edogawa Ward, causing serious injuries.
He reportedly admitted the charge and stated that it was ``noisy.’’
