2025 World’s Fair Will Open In Osaka

「万博ばんぱく」は、世界せかいの国くにが参加さんかして文化ぶんかや技術ぎじゅつなどを紹介しょうかいする大おおきなイベントで、世界中せかいじゅうからたくさんの人ひとが集あつまります

The “World’s Fair” is a big event where the countries of the world introduce their cultures and products, when people from all over the world gather together.

２３日にちにフランスであった会議かいぎで１５６の国くにが投票とうひょうをして、２０２５年ねんの万博ばんぱくは大阪おおさかで開ひらくことが決きまりました

On the 23rd at a meeting in France, 156 countries voted for the city to open the 2025 World’s Fair and Osaka was chosen.

大阪おおさかでは１９７０年ねんにも万博ばんぱくを開ひらいていて、２回かい目めです

Osaka hosted the Fair in 1970, so this is its second time.

２０２５年ねんの万博ばんぱくは、５月がつ３日みっかから１１月がつ３日みっかまで大阪市おおさかしの夢洲ゆめしまという人工じんこうの島しまで開ひらきます

The 2025 World’s Fair will be open from May 3rd to November 3rd on the manmade island called Yume Shima in Osaka.

会場かいじょうをつくるのにかかるお金かねは１２５０億おく円えんぐらいで、国くに、大阪府おおさかふと大阪市おおさかし、経済けいざいのトップが出だします

The venue will cost 125 trillion yen to construct which must come from the top of the national, Osaka Prefecture, and Osaka municipal budgets.

大阪府おおさかふの松井まつい知事ちじは「参加さんかした人ひとたちが世界せかいの問題もんだいについて考かんがえるような万博ばんぱくにしたいと思おもいます」と話はなしました

The prefectural governor of Osaka said, “I think everyone who joins in thinking about world problems wants to be part of the World’s Fair.”
