The building at the place where many of the ancestors of the Suzuki clan were is renewed

「鈴木すずき」は日本にっぽんで2番ばん目めに多おおい名前なまえだと言いわれています

It is said that “Suzuki” is the second most common name in Japan.

和歌山県わかやまけん海南市かいなんしにある藤白神社ふじしろじんじゃには、鈴木すずきさんの先祖せんぞが住すんでいました

The ancestors of the Suzuki clan lived in the Fujishiro shrine located in the Wakayama prefecture in the city of Kainan.

鈴木すずきという名前なまえはこの場所ばしょから広ひろがったと言いわれています

It is said that the name of “Suzuki” spread from this place.

神社じんじゃの中なかには、家族かぞくで住すんでいた「鈴木すずき屋敷やしき」という建物たてものがあって大切たいせつにしていました

The building where they lived called “The Suzuki residence” in the shrine is though of as important

江戸時代えどじだいの建物たてもので古ふるくなったため、海南市かいなんしが去年きょねんから建物たてものを新あたらしくする工事こうじをしています

As the building from the Edo period was getting old, the city of Kainan has been doing construction work for renewing it since last year.

建物たてものの柱はしらなどができたことをお祝いわいする式しきが14日じゅうよっかにあって、80人にんぐらいが集あつまりました

A ceremony was held on the 14th celebrating the making of the building’s pillars, about 80 people gathered together.

神社じんじゃの人ひとが工事こうじの安全あんぜんを祈いのりました

People of the shrine prayed for the safety of the construction work.

鈴木すずき屋敷やしきは来年らいねん3月がつにできる予定よていです

The plan is to complete the Suzuki residence by the March of next year.

鈴木すずき屋敷やしきを新あたらしくしているグループの人ひとは「鈴木すずき屋敷やしきに来きて、鈴木すずきという名前なまえの歴史れきしを知しって、たくさんの人ひとに楽たのしんでもらいたいです」と話はなしていました

The people of the group who are renewing the residence say “We want a lot of people to have fun visiting the Suzuki residence and learning about the history behind the name.”
