India bans wheat exports due to rising prices; production volume is second in the world
インドの外国貿易担当当局幹部は１５日までに、ロシアによるウクライナ軍事侵攻を受け小麦価格が世界的に上昇しているとして、小麦の輸出を即座に禁止するとの声明を発表しました
India’s foreign trade officials have issued a statement by the 15th that they will immediately ban wheat exports, saying that Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine has caused wheat prices to rise globally.
価格上昇を踏まえたほか、インドや弱い立場にある近隣国の食糧安全保障を確保するための輸出禁止と位置づけました
In addition to taking into account price increases, we have positioned it as an export ban to ensure food security in India and vulnerable neighboring countries.
However, this does not apply if an irrevocable letter of credit has already been issued, or if the Indian government permits exports to countries that are highly dependent on wheat for food security.
