広島の高校生などの絵の展覧会が、東京で開かれています
An exhibition of paintings by Hiroshima high school students is being held in Tokyo.
There are about 40 pictures in all, including drawings that high school students and graduates listened to from victims of the atomic bombing.
There was a summit in Hiroshima in May this year, and there was a woman who spoke to the leaders of the country about the damage caused by the atomic bomb.
After listening to this woman’s story, I also drew a picture of the city of Hiroshima the day after the atomic bomb was dropped.
Because most of the buildings were destroyed, there is a mistake that you can see the sea in the distance.
An 8-year-old woman expresses her surprise when she sees the town.
A person from the group holding the exhibition said, ”There are fewer opportunities to learn about the history of the damage caused by the atomic bombing.
By looking at the paintings and thinking about peace, we may be able to start something.”
展覧会は、東京交通会館で8月19日までです
The exhibition is at the Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan until August 19th.
