400-year-old ”Gujo Odori” Many people dance until morning
「郡上おどり」は、岐阜県郡上市で400年ぐらい前から続いている盆踊りです
”Gujo Odori” is a bon dance that has continued for about 400 years in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture.
It is one of the cultures of Japan’s ”Furyu Odori” that became a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage last year.
郡上おどりは毎年7月から9月に行っていて、お盆の間は夜から朝まで踊る「徹夜おどり」があります
The Gujo Odori is held from July to September every year, and during the Obon period, there is a ’Tetsuya Odori’ that is performed from night until morning.
13日夜、徹夜おどりが始まると、浴衣を着た人たちが会場の真ん中にある「踊り屋形」の周りで踊りました
More and more people were dancing, and they enjoyed singing along with flute and drum music and clapping the geta.
