Returning the Japanese dormouse that has been taken care of to the mountain
The Japanese dormouse is about 13 cm in size and resembles a mouse or a squirrel.
It has been in Japan for over 1 million years and has been designated as a national natural monument.

In November of last year, a two-month-old Japanese dormouse was found at a villa in Yatsugatake, Nagano Prefecture.
Volunteers took care of it, and the weight increased to about 20g.
I decided to return it to the mountains because it was big enough to live in the forest.

On the 17th, I took a Japanese dormouse out of its case at Yatsugatake.
It didn’t move for a while, probably because it was afraid of the unfamiliar forest, but after a while it ran into the grass.
