”You can change your gender on your family register without undergoing surgery”
There are people who are having trouble in their daily lives because their gender in their family register is different from their gender in their hearts.
Five years ago, a person who was registered as a man but was living as a woman filed a lawsuit in court, saying that he wanted to change his family registration to female without undergoing physical surgery.
By law, two surgeries are required to change the family register from male to female.
Last year, the Supreme Court ruled that surgeries that eliminate the ability to have children are unconstitutional.
On the 10th, the High Court ruled, ``You must choose between undergoing surgery and injuring your body, or not undergoing surgery and refusing to change your gender on your family register.’’
Even if you don’t undergo surgery, you can change your family register to female because you have a female-like body through medicine etc.’’
