In Ishikawa prefecture, annoucing the names of the earthquake casualties, upon obtaining the families’ approval
In Ishikawa prefecture, from the 15th of January, limited to the families whom approval was obtained, the name and age of the Noto peninsula earthquake will be publicly announced.
県によりますと、公表の対象となるのは、亡くなった人の「氏名」や「住んでいた市や町」「性別」「年齢」「死因」の最大で5つの項目です
According to the prefecture, the announcement targets at most 5 information items: the deceased people’s name, living city or town, gender, age and cause of death.
Regarding the death causes, categories such as home collapse and fire have been postulated.
In Ishikawa prefecture, until now the names and ages of the earthquake victims had not been announced, but it will be from the 15th, provided that the families’ approval is obtained, starting from understanding and confirming their intent.
In an interview with the need outlets, Ishikawa prefecture’s governor Hase stated: after respectfully listening to the families’ demands, I would like to make the final decision.
