On the 6th of August in Hiroshima, elementary school students learned about the atomic bombs and peace.
8月6日、広島に原爆が落とされてから、79年になりました
On August 6th, it has been 79 years since the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
広島市の広島大学附属小学校では、原爆が落とされた午前8時15分、子どもたちが静かに祈りました
At the Hiroshima University attached Elementary school in Hiroshima City, Children prayed quietly at 8:15, the day and time the bomb was dropped.
Afterwards, the children learned in class about the atomic bombs and peace.
6 sixth grade students went to the Atomic Bomb Museum to study the event and spoke in front of everyone to share their thoughts.
At the Museum, photos at the time of the bombing and the items people carried with them when they died can be seen.
The six students said that not only did many people die in the bombing, but they also recieved burns and suffered from illness.
Adding that in order to eliminate war it is necessary to understand the importance of peace and to take action.
