2-year-old boy dies, left in car for too long...53-year-old grandmother arrested

The grandmother of a 2-year-old boy was arrested for leaving him to die in a car parked in a parking lot in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture.
Setsuko Shibata (53), a nursing assistant from Tsuyama City, was arrested on suspicion of negligent homicide.
According to the police, Shibata died after leaving his girlfriend`s grandson, Yosho Mose (2), in a car parked in the parking lot of her workplace for about nine and a half hours starting after 8 a.m. on the 9th. It is suspected that
Suspect Shibata had planned to drop Yosho off at a daycare facility, but she forgot about it and went to work instead.
In response to police investigation, Shibata admitted her suspicions.
The highest temperature in Tsuyama City on the 9th was 31.7℃, and police are investigating the possibility of heat stroke.
