80% of foreigners ”don’t know the site with information necessary for life in Japan”
The Immigration Services Agency asked foreigners living in Japan about information released by the Japanese government.
About 5000 people answered
When asked what problems they had when looking up information, 20% of people answered, ”There is not enough information written in different languages.”
14% answered that it was difficult to find the information they needed, and 13% answered that there was little information written in simple Japanese.
The government provides foreigners with the information they need to live in Japan and provides consultation through a website called the ``Foreigner Life Support Portal Site’’ and the Foreigner Residency Support Center.
However, more than 80% of respondents answered ”I don’t know”
