Woman arrested for attempted murder of baby after trying to flush it down the toilet

Suspect Miu Fujii of Tsuchiura City is suspected of giving birth to a baby boy in the bathroom of her home in November last year, and then immediately flushing the baby down the toilet in an attempt to kill him.
According to the police, Fujii tried to push the baby into a Western-style toilet and flush it away, but it didn’t work, so she called 911 himself.
The baby was taken to the emergency room, and his injuries were not life-threatening.
