The electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft used in flying taxis is classified as a power drift aircraft, a new category established by the FAA.

航空機こうくうきのように飛行ひこうでき、ヘリコプターのように離着陸りちゃくりくできるのが特徴とくちょうで、空港くうこうだけでなく都会とかいのバーティポートからも運航うんこうできる

It can fly like an airplane, take off and land like a helicopter, and can be operated not only from airports but also from urban vertiports.

”This rule creates an operating environment,” Whitaker said.

会場かいじょうには、米べいカリフォルニア州しゅうのジョビー・アビエーションが設計せっけいした５人乗にんのり・６ローター機きの実物大じつぶつだいモデルが展示てんじされていた

A full-size model of a five-seater, six-rotor aircraft designed by California-based Joby Aviation was on display at the venue.

According to the company, it can cruise at speeds of 200 miles per hour (approximately 320 kilometers per hour) and makes as much noise as a normal conversation.
