東京・練馬区でアパートのごみ箱からへその緒がついた乳児が見つかりました。

警視庁は保護責任者遺棄の疑いを視野に調べています。

昨日午後6時半ごろ、練馬区羽沢のアパートで「赤ちゃんが捨てられていて泣き声がする」とアパートの住人から110番通報がありました。　
Around 6:30 pm yesterday, a resident living in an apartment in Hazawa, Nerima Ward called 110 and said: "I heard a baby abandoned and crying."
捜査関係者によりますと、アパートの建物の外に置かれたごみ箱の中からへその緒がついた裸の乳児が見つかりました。　
Investigators say a naked newborn with the umbilical cord still attached was found in a trash can outside an apartment building.
乳児はおよそ2900グラムの男の子で生まれて間もないとみられています。　
The newborn is believed to be a newborn boy weighing approximately 2,900 grams.
病院に搬送されましたが、外傷はなく命に別状はないということです。　
The boy was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
ごみ箱などからは乳児の身元を特定するものは見つかっておらず、警視庁は保護責任者遺棄の疑いを視野に乳児を置き去った人物を探しています。
Nothing identifying the child was found in the trash, and the Metropolitan Police Department is searching for the person who abandoned the child, suspecting the person responsible for protecting the abandoned child.
