フランスに到着した岸田総理大臣は、就任したばかりで歴代最年少の35歳・アタル首相と会談し、日仏関係を一層強化していく考えで一致しました。
「アタル首相、日本をよく知っておられるという話を聞いている。ぜひ首相にも協力をいただき、日仏関係を前進させていきたい」
会談では、経済安全保障を含む今後の日仏協力について意見を交換しました。
また、アタル首相から多くのフランス人が日本の漫画「ドラゴンボール」などに慣れ親しんでいるとの話があり、作者・鳥山明さんへの弔意が改めて示されました。
岸田総理はお土産にドラゴンボールのこけしを渡し、アタル首相からはワインが贈られました。
日本時間の夜にはマクロン大統領と個別に会談します。
