東京パラリンピックの開幕をあすに控え、都庁で小池都知事とIPC（国際パラリンピック委員会）のパーソンズ会長が面会しました。　
Governor Koike and President Parsons of the IPC (International Paralympic Committee) had a meeting in Tokyo before the Tokyo Paralympic Games is opened tomorrow.
「組織委員会の皆様、関係者の皆様と力を合わせて素晴らしい大会だったねと言われるようにして参りましょう」　
“I hope that the Organizing Committee and everyone involved will cooperate and organize a great tournament.”
小池知事はこれまで子どもたちや社会にパラスポーツを楽しんでもらう方法を学ぶ機会を作ってきたと話し、「パラスポーツを極めた選手たちのパフォーマンスが繰り広げられるのを楽しみにしている」と期待を示しました。　
Governor Koike said that they created opportunities for children and people to enjoy Paralympic sports and learn how to play, she also expressed her expectation “I am looking forward to the performance of Paralympic athletes.
そのうえで「安全安心な大会にするのは不可欠」とし、選手や関係者にプレーブックを守ってもらうよう求めました。
She then also said, "It is essential to make the tournament safe and secure", and asks the athletes and stakeholders to properly adhere to the Play Book.
これに対してパーソンズ会長は、東京オリンピックでは新型コロナから大会関係者や日本国民が守られていたと評価したうえで、
On the other hand, President Parsons assessed that at the Tokyo Olympic, those involved in the tournament and the Japanese people were protected from the new strain of corona virus,
「パラリンピックも安全に開催できるという確信を深めた」と話しました。
said “Strengthen the confidence that the Paralympic Games can be held safely.”
