ペットの看護などを担う新たな国家資格「愛玩動物看護師」の初めての試験が全国の19会場で行われました。　
The first exam for the new national certificate "Pet Nurse", a certificate in pet nursing, was held at 19 locations across the country.
愛玩動物看護師は、ペットの高齢化などで増える獣医師への負担軽減などを目的にこれまで民間の資格しかなかったものを格上げし、国が認定する国家資格です。　
Pet nurse is a national qualification recognized by the government, upgraded from the previously only private qualification, with the aim of reducing the burden on veterinarians, which is increasing due to the aging of pets and other factors. 　
資格を取った看護師は、獣医師の指示のもと犬や猫へのマイクロチップの装着や採血、投薬などを行えるようになります。　
Qualified nurses will be able to microchip dogs and cats, draw blood, and administer medication under the direction of a veterinarian.

受験者は全国でおよそ2万人に上るとみられ、合格者は来月17日に発表されます。
Around 20,000 people are expected to take the exam nationwide, and the winners will be announced on the 17th of next month.
