トヨタ自動車は、定額利用する車を装備の後付けなどでアップグレードできる新たなサービスを開始すると発表しました。
トヨタは、子会社で車の定額制サービスを手掛ける「KINTO」とともに「KINTO Unlimited」を発表しました。
契約した車に対し、安全管理のソフトウェアの更新や機能性の高いモニターなど装備のアップグレードを必要に応じて提供します。
また、利用者のハンドル操作やアクセル、ブレーキのデータを収集し、分析することで、安全や燃費向上につながるアドバイスを専用のアプリを通じて行うことができるとしています。
このアップグレードにより、車の価値を維持できるため、月額の利用料は「これまでより、10％程度安くできる」見込みです。
新型プリウスの一部からサービスの提供を始め、利用者からの反響などを見ながら他の車種にも拡大していく予定です。
