外務省は偽造防止などを強化した新たなパスポートを明日以降の申請に対して交付すると発表しました。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced it will starting issuing new passports with enhanced anti-forgery feature from tomorrow.
デザインも新しくなり、葛飾北斎の「冨嶽三十六景」になります。
The passports will have a new design, with the image "Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji" by Katsushika Hokusai.
新しいパスポートの査証欄のページにはこれまでの桜の模様に代わり、葛飾北斎の代表作「冨嶽三十六景」がデザインされています。
In the new passports, on the page with the visa column, the image of traditional cherry blossoms is replaced by "Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji" by artist Katsushika Hokusai.
査証欄はページごとにデザインが異なり、偽造防止の強化も図られています。
The design of the visa column on each page is also different, in order to strengthen anti-counterfeiting feature.
実際に交付されるのは都道府県によって異なりますが、申請から約1週間後となる見通しです。
Actual deliveries will depend on each province, but it is expected that applicants will receive new passports after 1 week.
