According to multiple sources, Google has announced plans to build a new AI data center in Texas, USA. The total investment is expected to reach $40 billion approximately 6.2 trillion yen, based on an exchange rate of 154 yen to the dollar.

This move comes at a time when competitors in the AI field are also pushing infrastructure development in this state, indicating that the international competition for AI supremacy is becoming increasingly intense.

According to the Houston Chronicle, this investment is planned to be used for building data centers in three locations, including Armstrong County and Haskell County.

After completion, the total number of Google data centers in Texas is expected to increase to five.

According to Bloomberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated at a press conference, This investment will not only create thousands of jobs, but also provide skill training opportunities for university students and apprentice electricians.
