The military regimes of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger in West Africa have announced their withdrawal from the ICC International Criminal Court.

深めているロシアのプーチン
大統領に、ICCが
逮捕状を
出していることへの
反発も
あるとみられます。
There also appears to be some backlash against the fact that the ICC has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Putin, with whom the three countries are strengthening their ties.
ブルキナファソ、マリ、ニジェールの3か国は22日、共同声明を発表し、ICCについて「新植民地主義的な抑圧の道具となっている」としたうえで「戦争犯罪や人道に対する罪などを訴追する能力に欠けている」と批判し、脱退することを表明しました。
On the 22nd, the three countries of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger issued a joint statement criticizing the ICC, stating that it has become a tool of neo-colonial oppression and lacks the ability to prosecute war crimes and crimes against humanity, and announced their withdrawal.
そのうえで「それぞれの社会的価値観に従って人権を保護していく」としています。
On top of that, it states that human rights will be protected according to each societys values.
3か国ではここ数年、イスラム過激派による治安の悪化が政情不安を招く中、クーデターが相次ぎ、軍事政権が発足しました。
In the past few years, these three countries have experienced a series of coups and the establishment of military regimes amid worsening security caused by Islamic extremists, which has led to political instability.
その後、駐留していた、旧宗主国フランスの軍を撤退させるなど欧米との対立を強める一方、この地域で影響力を拡大しているロシアとの関係を深めています。
After that, while intensifying confrontation with the West—such as by withdrawing the troops of its former colonial ruler, France, that had been stationed there—it has been deepening its ties with Russia, which is expanding its influence in the region.
オランダのハーグにあるICCは、ウクライナ侵攻をめぐって、プーチン大統領に戦争犯罪の疑いで逮捕状を出しており、今回の3か国による脱退表明は、こうしたことへの反発もあるとみられます。
The ICC in The Hague, Netherlands, has issued an arrest warrant for President Putin on suspicion of war crimes related to the invasion of Ukraine, and it is believed that the announcement of withdrawal by these three countries is partly in reaction to this.
