しかし、映像の信憑性に疑いは持たれておらず、2025年2月には被拘禁者虐待の容疑で兵士5人が起訴されている。
なお、兵士側は不正行為を否認している。
ネタニヤフ首相は今回の映像流出について、「イスラエルの国際的評価に甚大な損害を与えた」とし、「イスラエル史上最悪の広報上の惨事である」と強調した。
