The award received works from all over the world.
The award was co-founded by photographers Paul Jason Hicks and Tom Salam in 2015.
The aim, he explained, was to ”create a competition that would play an important role in promoting wildlife conservation while aiming at the bright and humorous side of wildlife.”
Each year the award supports conservation organizations and this year it is partnering with a British charity supporting conservation efforts in the Southern Hemisphere
The general public can participate in the selection of the most fun photos, and votes will be accepted on the official website (www.comedywildlifephoto.com) until November 27th.
The winning entry will be announced on December 8th.
In the 2021 competition, Ken Jensen’s work, which captures a monkey straddling a wire while in pain, won the competition.
