　先月せんげつのスーパーの売上高うりあげだかは、猛暑もうしょで外出がいしゅつの機会きかいが減へって衣料品いりょうひんの販売はんばいが伸のび悩なやんだ影響えいきょうなどで、17カ月げつぶりに前まえの年としの実績じっせきを下回したまわりました

Last month’s supermarket sales were lower than the previous year’s results for the first time in 17 months, due to factors such as sluggish clothing sales due to fewer opportunities to go out due to the intense heat.

　日本にっぽんチェーンストア協会きょうかいによりますと、7月がつの全国ぜんこくのスーパーの売上高うりあげだかは1兆ちょう598億円おくえんとなり、既存店きそんてんベースで前年ぜんねんの同おなじ月つきと比くらべて1.0％減少げんしょうしました

According to the Japan Chain Store Association, sales at supermarkets nationwide in July were 1.0598 trillion yen, a 1.0% decrease compared to the same month last year on an existing store basis.

　前年ぜんねんの実績じっせきを下回したまわったのは去年きょねん2月以来がついらい、17カ月げつぶりです

This is the first time in 17 months since February last year that the results were lower than the previous year’s results.

　協会きょうかいは、7月がつは土日どにちが去年きょねんより一日いちにちずつ少すくなかったことも影響えいきょうしているとみています

The association believes that this may be due to the fact that there were fewer Saturdays and Sundays in July than last year.

　食料品しょくりょうひんは節約志向せつやくしこうから買かい上あげ点数てんすうの減少げんしょうが続つづいていますが、値上ねあげなどの影響えいきょうもあり0.9％増ふえました

　一方いっぽう、衣料品いりょうひんは水着みずぎや浴衣ゆかたといった季節商品きせつしょうひんの動うごきが鈍にぶく、10.1％減少げんしょうしました

On the other hand, sales of clothing decreased by 10.1% due to slow sales of seasonal items such as swimwear and yukata.
