World growth rate in 2024 revised upward to 2.6% Japan’s growth rate revised downward to 0.7%

The World Bank has released its latest World Economic Outlook and revised the global growth rate for 2024 upwards.
On the other hand, Japan’s growth rate has been lowered due to a slowdown in consumption.
According to the World Bank’s announcement on the 11th, the global growth rate in 2024 is 2.6%, revised upward by 0.2 points from 2.4% in January.
The growth rate of the United States, which has a strong economy, has been significantly increased to 0.9% from January.
On the other hand, the outlook for Japan has been revised downward by 0.2 points to 0.7% due to the slowdown in consumption and exports.
The global growth rate in 2025 is expected to be 2.7%.
However, it points out that the growing impact of fighting in Ukraine and Gaza and debt problems in emerging countries pose downside risks.
