Fires are spreading due to water shortages in one of the world’s largest wetlands in Brazil, South America, causing the most severe damage since 2020, which was the worst on record.

　ロイター通信つうしんによりますと、ブラジル中西部ちゅうせいぶに広ひろがる湿地帯しっちたいパンタナルで今年ことし、5月末がつまつまでの間あいだに発生はっせいした火災かさいは、去年きょねんの同おなじ時期じきに比くらべておよそ10倍ばいに上のぼりました

According to Reuters, the number of fires that broke out in the Pantanal, a wetland region in central and central Brazil, during the period up to the end of May this year was approximately 10 times that of the same period last year.

　現在げんざいも火災かさいが広ひろがり続つづけていて、これまでに東京都とうきょうとのおよそ1.5倍ばいに相当そうとうする面積めんせきが燃もえました
