Reo Fujita becomes the youngest professional Go player at the age of 9 years and 4 months
It was decided on the 17th that Leo Fujita, an elementary school student from Osaka City, will become a professional Go player on September 1 at the age of 9 years and 4 months.
According to the Go organization, he is the youngest pro ever, even earlier than Sumire Nakamura, who turned pro at the age of 10 in 2019.
He is the youngest professional in China, South Korea, and Taiwan.
