Enjoy canoeing on a lake in Yamagata Prefecture that looks like trees are growing out of the water

山形県飯豊町やまがたけんいいでまちの白川しらかわ湖こには、シロヤナギの林はやしが広ひろがっています

A white willow forest spreads around Lake Shirakawa in Iide Town, Yamagata Prefecture.

毎年まいとし春はるになると、周まわりの山やまの雪ゆきがとけて林はやしに水みずがたくさん流ながれてきます

Every spring, the snow from the surrounding mountains melts and a lot of water flows into the forest.

このため、木きが水みずから生はえているように見みえます

This makes the tree look like it’s growing out of water.

3月がつ終おわりごろから、カヌーに乗のってこの景色けしきを楽たのしむツアーが始はじまりました

Participants on the tour took photos of nature’s natural scenery while canoeing through trees that were beginning to sprout green buds.

ツアーに参加さんかした人ひとたちは、緑みどり色いろの芽めが出で始はじめた木きの間あいだをカヌーで進すすみながら、自然しぜんがつくった景色けしきを写真しゃしんに撮とっていました

A woman from Osaka said, ``It was fun to be able to walk on the water.’’

大阪おおさかから来きた女性じょせいは「水みずの上うえを散歩さんぽできて楽たのしかったです」と話はなしました

The president of the company that runs the tour says, ``The scenery seen from land is beautiful, but if you ride a canoe, you can enjoy the underwater forest up close.’’

ツアーを行おこなっている会社かいしゃの社長しゃちょうは「陸りくから見みる景色けしきもきれいですが、カヌーに乗のると近ちかくで水みずの中なかの林はやしを楽たのしむことができます」と話はなしています

Canoe tours are scheduled to run until late May.

カヌーのツアーは、5月がつ下旬げじゅんまで行おこなう予定よていです
