In the UK, more than 700 postmasters were found guilty of embezzlement and other crimes because their accounting records and cash balances did not match, but evidence later revealed that the accounting system provided by a local subsidiary of Fujitsu was flawed. It became clear that

　富士通ふじつうの幹部かんぶは16日にち、イギリス議会ぎかいの委員会いいんかいで賠償ばいしょうについて「道義的責任どうぎてきせきにんがある」とし、「私わたしたちの責任せきにんが明確めいかくになった場合ばあいに判断はんだんする」と発言はつげんしています

On the 16th, a Fujitsu executive stated in a British parliamentary committee that they have a ”moral responsibility” for compensation and said, ”We will make a decision when our responsibility becomes clear.”

　富士通ふじつうは「今後こんごの法定調査ほうていちょうさの結果けっかに基もとづいて、補償ほしょうへの貢献こうけんも含ふくめて、イギリス政府せいふとともに適切てきせつな対応たいおうに取とり組くんで参まいります」とコメントしています

Fujitsu commented, ``Based on the results of the upcoming legal investigation, we will work with the British government to take appropriate measures, including contributing to compensation.’’
