Ambassadors from six countries including the US and UK will be absent from the 79th Atomic Bomb Day peace memorial ceremony in Nagasaki tomorrow

It has been revealed that U.S. Ambassador to Japan Emanuel and others will be absent from the peace prayer ceremony to be held in Nagasaki City.
Last month, the ambassadors of six countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, jointly sent a letter to Nagasaki City requesting that Israel be invited to the ceremony, but after failing to do so, the six countries decided not to attend.
The letter requested that Russia and Israel, which invaded Ukraine, not be treated on the same level, stating that ``not inviting Israel would mean treating them on the same level as Russia and Belarus.``
