Nurse working in the Gaza Strip: ``We can’t just watch’’
Sachiko Kawase, a nurse with the Japanese Red Cross Society, was working at Quds Hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
Mr. Kawase returned to Japan and spoke to reporters on the 17th.
After fighting began in the Gaza Strip on the 7th of last month, Mr. Kawase went to a town in the south at the request of the Israeli army.
From then on, I took care of the evacuees until I entered Egypt on the 1st of this month.
Mr. Kawase said that someone he worked with at Quds Hospital said, ``Even though everyone has the same life, the world is not equal.’’
