Bank of England unveils banknote with portrait of King Charles
英イングランド銀行（中央銀行）は２０日、国王チャールズ３世の肖像が入った新紙幣のデザインを披露しました
The Bank of England (the central bank) unveiled the design of its new banknotes with the portrait of King Charles III on the 20th.
チャールズ国王の肖像は５ポンド、１０ポンド、２０ポンド、５０ポンドの紙幣に描かれます
The portrait of King Charles appears on the banknotes of £5, £10, £20 and £50.
Other design remains unchanged
Current banknotes depict the late Queen Elizabeth
The king’s portrait is also included in the anti-counterfeiting watermark.

New notes expected to be in circulation by mid-2024
Banknotes featuring the Queen will continue to be used and will be circulated at the same time as banknotes with the King’s portrait.

The backs of the banknotes remain unchanged, with Winston Churchill on the £5 note, Jane Austen on the £10, J.M.W. Turner on the £20 and Alan Turing on the £50.

Coins bearing the likeness of King Charles have entered circulation this month.
According to the Royal Mint, the 4.9 million 50-pence coins featuring the King’s portrait will have a design on the reverse that symbolizes the ”life and legacy” of the late Queen Elizabeth.
