In Shinogawa City, Tokushima prefecture, there is a JR station called ”Gaku Station”.
On the ticket to enter this station, ’入’ meaning to enter the station and ’学’ for ”Gaku Station” are written.
This can be read as ”school enrollment”, so it is popular with students taking exams.
Usually there’s no staff at this station, but every year around this time, there is a special sale of ”passing the exam” amulet with the train ticket as a set.
The rice from this region, which is strong against wind and rain and sticky, is also sold under the name of “School enrollment rice.”
A parent and child from Hiroshima said, ”I want to do my best to pass the exam.”
I also bought the rice, so it’s going to be okay.”
The amulet and ticket set will be sold in Gaku Station until 9th of this month.
You can also buy it even after the 9th at major stations in Shikoku.
