About 540,000 people used Narita Airport during the winter vacation.

The Tokyo Immigration Bureau has investigated people who used Narita Airport to depart for foreign countries or enter Japan between December 23rd and January 3rd.

この12日にちの間あいだには冬休ふゆやすみがあって、54万まん9000人にんぐらいが利用りようしました

There was a winter vacation during these 12 days, and about 549,000 people used it

2020年度ねんどより増ふえましたが、新型しんがたコロナウイルスが広ひろがる前まえの2019年度ねんどの半分はんぶんぐらいでした

It increased from 2020, but it was about half of 2019 before the spread of the new coronavirus

外国人がいこくじんは38万まん人にんぐらいで、日本人にっぽんじんは16万まん人にんぐらいでした

There were about 380,000 foreigners and about 160,000 Japanese.

利用りようする人ひとがいちばん多おおかったのは、ハワイやグアムがあるアメリカとの間あいだを飛とぶ飛行機ひこうきでした

The most frequent flights were flights between the United States, where Hawaii and Guam are located.

次つぎに韓国かんこく、台湾たいわん、ベトナム、タイでした

Then came South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand.

A person from the Tokyo Immigration Bureau said, ”Since October last year, it has become easier to enter Japan, and the number of foreigners has increased.

日本人にっぽんじんが少すくないのは、円えんが安やすいことや新型しんがたコロナウイルスの問題もんだいが続つづいていることが理由りゆうだと思おもいます」と話はなしています

I think the reason why there are few Japanese people is that the yen is cheap and the problem of the new coronavirus continues.”

From Dec. 23rd through Jan. 3rd, the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau looked into how many people were using Narita Airport to go to foreign countries or enter Japan.

Winter break was within these 12 days, and around 549,000 people used it.
