東京税関が去年1年間に押収した違法薬物はおよそ583キロとなり、5年連続で500キロを超えました。
Tokyo Customs seized approximately 583 kilograms of illegal drugs during the past year, exceeding 500 kilograms for the fifth consecutive year.
国際郵便物や航空貨物の摘発数は過去5年で最高となりました。　
The number of international mail and air cargo seizures was the highest in the past five years.
東京税関によりますと、去年1年間に押収した違法薬物は前の年よりも18キロ増え、およそ583キロでした。　
According to Tokyo Customs, the total amount of illegal drugs seized during the past year was approximately 583 kilograms, increased 18 kilograms from the previous year.
押収量は高止まり傾向にあるなか、摘発数は前年の2倍以上となる401件と急増しました。　
While seizures remained high, the number of arrests increased to 401, more than double the total of the previous year.
そのうち、国際郵便物や航空貨物で持ち込まれて摘発したケースは、229件と過去5年で最高となりました。　
Of those, 229 were sent by international mail or by air, the highest number in the past five years.
また、飛行機の手荷物での密輸も前年より50件以上増加しました。　
Smuggling in airplane baggage also increased by more than 50 cases over the previous year.
東京税関は、入国制限の緩和により人の移動が活発になったことが原因とみていて、取り締まりを強化しています。
