その結果、「イスラム国」の最高指導者の1人が死亡し、側近も重傷を負ったということです。

中央軍によりますと、死亡したのはシリアでの指導者で、イラクとシリア以外の地域での勢力拡大を担う責任者だったとしています。　
According to Central Command, the person killed was a leader in Syria who was responsible for expanding forces beyond Iraq and Syria.
また、初期の報告段階では民間人の死傷者はいないということです。

今回の空爆について、バイデン大統領は声明で「指導者の死は『イスラム国』がこの地域で活動する能力を著しく低下させる」と成果を強調しています。
Regarding the airstrikes, President Biden emphasized the results in a statement, saying, “The death of the leader significantly reduces the ability of the 'Islamic State' to operate in the region”.
