世界各国の男女格差についての調査で日本は146カ国中125位でした。
Japan ranked 125th out of 146 countries in a survey of gender disparities around the world.
116位だった去年よりも順位を下げました。　
This is down from last year, when Japan was ranked 116th.
国際機関「世界経済フォーラム」は、政治・経済など4分野で男女平等な状態を100％とした達成率を「ジェンダーギャップ指数」として毎年公表しています。　
The World Economic Forum, an international organization, publishes the "Gender Gap Index" every year, which is the percentage of achievement of 100% gender equality in four areas including politics and economy.
今年の日本は64.7％で、146カ国中125位と去年の116位から順位を下げました。
This year, Japan ranked 125th out of 146 countries with 64.7%, down from 116th last year.
2006年の調査開始以来、過去最低です。　
This is a record low since the survey began in 2006.
閣僚や国会議員における女性の割合などで評価する「政治」の指数は、5.7％で138位でした。　
The "Politics" index, which is measured by the percentage of women in cabinet ministers and members of parliament, is 5.7%, ranking 138th.
「教育」では、大学などへ進学する女性の割合が少ないことも順位を押し下げました。　
In the "education" category, the small percentage of women going on to college also pushed down the ranking. 　
世界ランキングはアイスランドがトップで、次いでノルウェー、フィンランドでした。
Iceland topped the world ranking, followed by Norway and Finland.
