ウクライナ侵攻を巡る戦闘が激しさを増すなか、イギリスの石油大手「BP」は、保有するロシアの石油大手「ロスネフチ」の株式をすべて売却すると発表しました。　
As the war over the Ukraine invasion deepens, British oil giant BP announced that it would sell its entire stake in Russian oil giant Rosneft.
イギリスの石油大手「BP」は27日、2013年から保有していたロシアの石油大手「ロスネフチ」の19.75％に及ぶ株式をすべて売却すると発表しました。　
British oil and gas giant BP announced on the 27th that it would sell its entire 19.75% stake in Russian oil giant Rosneft, which it had held since 2013.
ロスネフチとの合弁事業も終了し、30年以上にわたり展開したロシアでの事業から事実上、撤退することになります。　
The joint venture with Rosneft has also ended, it will withdraw from its business in Russia, which has been operating for more than 30 years.
ヘルゲ・ルンド会長は、声明で「ロシアによる軍事行動で根本的に変わった。ロスネフチ株の保有は、BPの戦略と合わなくなった」と説明し、幹部らが務めていたロスネフチの取締役も辞任するということです。　
"Russia's military action has fundamentally changed. Rosneft's stock holdings no longer align with BP's strategy," chairman Helge Lund said in a statement. Rosneft's director, who was in charge of operations, also resigned.
BPの決定は、ロシアからの西側企業撤退の動きを加速することになりそうです。
BP's decision is likely to hasten the withdrawal of Western companies from Russia.
