EUの欧州委員会は20日、加盟国に対し8月から来年3月末までの間、ガスの使用量を15％削減することを提案しました。　
On the 20th, the European Commission of the EU proposed to its member states to reduce their gas use by 15% from August to the end of March next year.
ロシアは、ヨーロッパにガスを送るパイプライン「ノルドストリーム」について、メンテナンスを理由に稼働を停止しています。　
Russia has closed the pipeline "Nordic Stream", which carries gas to Europe, for maintenance reasons.
今後、供給がすべて停止される恐れがあり、ガスの在庫量を増やすため、暖房で需要が高まる冬に向けて夏のうちから節約を呼び掛けました。　
In the future, all supplies could be cut off, and to increase gas inventories they have called for savings from summer to winter when heating demand is high.
深刻なガス不足の恐れがある場合、加盟国に削減措置を義務付けることも提案しています。
