政府は、来年5月に開催されるG7広島サミットのロゴマークを発表しました。
The Japanese government announced the logo for the G7 Hiroshima Summit to be held in May next year.
854点の公募作品のなかから選ばれたのは、折り紙をモチーフにしたロゴマークでした。　
Brands with origami motifs were selected out of 854 entries from the public.
ロゴマークは、日本伝統の折り紙をモチーフに、G7を意味する7色を「G」の形のクリップで束ねたデザインで、世界平和・結束・一体感といったメッセージが込められています。　
The logo is based on traditional Japanese origami paper, with the seven colors of the G7 bound together with a clip in the shape of a "G", and contains the messages of world peace, unity, and oneness. 　
デザインを考えた長崎県の草野敬一さんは「日本やG7のイメージアップに活用頂きたい」と思いを語りました。　
Mr. Keiichi Kusano of Nagasaki Prefecture, who came up with the design, expressed his hope that the design would be used to enhance the image of Japan and the G7. 　
「今回、多くの方々に広島という地に思いを寄せ、ロゴマークを通じて、広島から発信するメッセージについて考えて頂いたこと、それ自体が大変意義あることだったと」
"I think this is very meaningful because it can make people remember the land of Hiroshima and understand the message sent from Hiroshima through these motifs."
