鳥インフルエンザの流行で1700万羽以上の鶏が殺処分され卵不足が深刻化するなか、食品大手のキユーピーは近くブラジル産の卵の輸入を開始します。　
Kewpie announced that it would use some eggs from Brazil, as it was unable to supply eggs for commercial use at the current rate.
キユーピーは、今のままでは業務用向けの卵を賄いきれないとして一部ブラジル産を使用すると発表しました。　
They are imported in shells from Brazil and refrigerated, and sold as liquid eggs to bread and confectionery manufacturers.
ブラジルからは殻付きで冷蔵した状態で輸入し、液卵としてパンや菓子メーカーなどに販売します。　
The company states that it has confirmed that the quality of the product does not differ from that of domestic products.
品質は国内産と差異がないことを確認したとしています。　
But they don't use it in their own mayonnaise products.

While avian influenza is spreading around the world, Brazil has not yet confirmed an outbreak, making this importation possible.

The price of domestic eggs is still at an all-time high, about 1.5 times that of a year before last, and the price of Brazilian eggs is higher.
